2.Full-Day Tour on the Amazon River

★★★★★★★★★★4.2 · 362 reviews · 1 day · from $55Best value

Cruise to the meeting of the waters, visit Lake January, look for pink dolphins and Victoria Regia lilies, eat a regional buffet lunch, meet Dessanos and Tucanos people, and choose Indigenous body painting.

“i think the trips are more or less standardized, no matter which operator you book. the positive thing: contrary to the information given, we were picked up at the hotel by the operator. the tour itself is varied. you can swim with pink dolphins, visit an indian tribe, walk a short distance through the forest, have the opportunity to fish and see the meeting of the two rivers. there's even a buffet lunch in between. transportation by boat was perfectly fine. the guide did his best to explain the essential facts in english, but 90% of the travelers are inland tourists, so that's where the focus is.”

Spend six hours exploring MUSA and the Adolpho Ducke Forest Reserve with a licensed guide and transport. See Amazonian plants and animals in nurseries, follow forest trails, visit exhibitions, and finish at the observation tower for sunset. Tickets, food and drinks cost extra.

“The museum itself was great and definitely worth the visit, however the price for this tour is not justified and frankly misleading. I paid a $110 Canadian dollars for 3 people (so a total of $330) for just an uber. Entry fee was not included in this so that was another $50 for 3 people. The tour says there is a guide that's provided and while the guide was knowledgeable in local flora, it's not the same guide that lets you explore hidden/special trails, which is what the tour made it sound like. If you want explore the hidden trails, you have to pay more. Everyone else on the main…”
